ABOUT US

Multiplex Connectivity Centres are physical or virtual spaces where job seekers, employers, government agencies, training firms and community groups can come together to co-design their own training, employment and support solutions.

They offer job support services, trainee and apprenticeships, business mentoring, and networking opportunities, with a particular emphasis on engaging with disability groups, youth at risk, long term unemployed, migrants and refugees, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups.

A unique approach to social procurement

Multiplex Connectivity Centres provide a unique backbone support structure to optimise procurement opportunities for Multiplex's supply chain. Our model has been recognised internationally as an evidence-based exemplar of social innovation.

Multiplex is providing an innovative and unique approach to CSR unmatched by any other industry player. These centres are an exemplar of social action,” Professor Martin Loosemore, University of Technology Sydney.

We achieve more through early and continuous connection which allows us to positively match job seekers who are disadvantaged with opportunities arising from our projects, both during construction and beyond.

ARC Research Grant

the In 2018 we were awarded a highly prestigious Australian Research Council Grant of $251,000 by the Australian Research Council to study how a unique collaborative approach to social procurement being implemented through our connectivity centres can help solve Australia's youth unemployment problem. Combined with university and industry cash and in-kind contributions, the grant amounts to over $800,000.

The formal findings of the research grant will be available in first half of 2023.

“I couldn’t praise everyone [at the Connectivity Centre] enough. It doesn’t matter if you have a criminal record, where you’ve been in life, they don’t judge you. Even if you can’t read and write they’re there to offer you support. You’ve just got to have a bit of faith in yourself.

Lisa Bevan

“The Connectivity Centre model is next generation thinking, providing a truly holistic service that is unparalleled.”
